The Health Ministries Committee presents “Worship In Pink” the weekend of October 10th and 11th. Events are being planned that are open to men and women of all ages, including members of the church and the community. Our celebration luncheon will be held on Saturday, October 10th, from 11:30 to 1:30. Our guest speaker is Maggie Eastman. Maggie lives in Puyallup, WA and is a cancer survivor. Diagnosed with incurable stage 4 metastatic invasive ductal carcinoma on January 21st, she faced frightening odds and has not just overcome, but truly thrived. Maggie’s unique connection to Trinity is her grandmother, longtime former member Margaret Geisler, who Maggie was named after and who passed just 3 days before her diagnosis. She is also Mardy Steven’s niece. There will be additional activities, surprises, and lots of educational materials.
Sign up for the luncheon on the Health Happenings board in the office hallway. We’ll need to know if you are attending by Sunday, October 4th. Be sure to invite and bring your daughters and granddaughters, husbands and sons. Child care will be provided, but we need to know the need before hand. Additional weekend activities will be announced in the coming weeks.
